NASA Astronaut claims we have made contact with Aliens/UFO's

^^ Hey Osna, I remember reading about that story on the good old GCF days.

The thing that also tends to bother me is, why do all UFO spottings only happen in the west? I may be wrong but I dont think I have ever heard of alien encounters from any other continent?

Well, you may only hear about the US ones ... there have been a lot of alleged reports from the old USSR and other eastern block countries, China has claimed a few too ...

... the real question is : if this is true, why cover it up? To not prove religions wrong? To avoid some kind of panic? I don't get it ... personally, I'd be chuffed to know we are not the only accidental life in the universe ...

England has a large number of "spottings".

I lived for almost 15 years in the desert in Southern Cal. North of Edwards and West of "Area 51". An area that "should" have many spottings. I never saw a thing! and neither did anyone I know.

When I first looked at this thread I was "watching" a show on UFOs. (ok I was just too lazy to change the channel)

Well I cant speak for all religions but I think in Islam it is already mentioned that there are other types of life forms in existence in our universe besides us. I doubt it has anything to do with religion.

The thing is, if they already had the technology to find us 60 years ago, then what on earth have they been doing all this time? just watching us?

I did not know that, thanks. I tried reading the Qur'an many years ago, but finding a proper english translation is difficult. Technically, the Judaistic text (and it's Christian derivatives) broadly acknowledge all life ... although not so directly or succinctly.

I'd like to make a few points...

1) I believe it was (Giannis) who stated the most important point so far. The Universe is a collection of billions if not trillions of stars, where just one of them! Point being there's a damn good chance there's more out here then humans!

2) NASA has admitted there's been objects tracked by radar that defy every scientific explaination we have to offer. If my memory is correct it had something to do with " time, space , & distance traveled. Principals based on mathmatical equations, which haven't been duplicated..
