![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My trip to a football game Well, wanted to share my great expirience with you guys. This Sunday, me and my two mates went to enjoy a football game between the two biggest rivals in Croatia, FC Hajduk vs. FC Dinamo. Some of you probably already heard for them, they've both played in CL and UEFA... Anyway, we were bored this weekend and decided to go. I've picked them both at 05:00h on Sunday morning after they've finished with their job in one night club in our city where they both work. So, we've decided to go through Bosnia because since 1991 i didn't drive through that country because there was a war, but i've recalled that there are some great roads that you can only see in vehicle commercials. Also, the trip to the city where the game was, through Croatia, is 200km longer and it would cost us 70 € (Paytolls) and of course, you need 2 houres less to reach it through Bosnia, so plenty of reasons to choose that way. Mountains, hills, valleys, height above sea-levels changing constantly, the pressure in your ears forces you to chew the gum all the time, curvy roads.... But they're empty, it's 06:00h in the morning and there's nobody on the road and it's forbidden for big trucks to drive over the weekend.... Man, what else do you need... This pic will tell you a lot: ![]() I've decided to go with my Golf...Why? Was a little bit scared to go with my car because of those roads, but in the 1st place because of what might happen if it comes to chaos/fights between supporters and i cannot leave my car 10km of stadium. The roads are good, but they're a little bumpy and they're not renewed completely after the war. In fact they're only patched (sp?), so i thought that even with my little fella Golf it'll be very exciting. And it was, believe me. I've convinced myself how well balanced Golf is, the car is glued to road, it handles like dream for a FWD car and the 2.0 TDI engine is more capable than you can imagine. I drove the car for 2 hours only in 3rd and 4th gear, from fourth to third - from third to fourth, so you can imagine what kind of drive we've had. My mates were literally screaming of excitement and so did i. That was definitely my best drive and the best 4 hours spent behind the wheel of any car. May i add that i still didn't have such expirience with BMW. These are my mates, posing by our car: ![]() ...and this is 3 of us posing with a nice big lake and mountain in the background (i'm the white t-shirt for those who want to know): ![]() So, it's time to go towards stadium, it's 19:00h and the show is about to start, 38.000 people are arriving, the whole city burns.... ![]() ...and we're in, the game is about to start, 38.000 people are singing one song at once... My god, i cannot describe my feelings, look at this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I guess you can imagine how much of adrenaline.... Anyhow, the result was a draw (2:2), not what we were expecting, but everything else was simply perfect! No fights, no broken arms and legs, no destroyed cars, no nothing. Just a few arrests because of pyrotechnics and that's it... And that's what i like!Tomorrow, we've had a coffe below the stadium where all the fans usually come. We've bought some accessories, took some pics in front of fans and teams logos: ![]() ...and then - home! Two very nice days, without wife and kids with my mates...Just wanted to share it with you, guys... ![]() |

I've always wanted to watch a Bayern Munich game in the new Allianz Arena, but it is hard getting tickets and at the end of the day, you can watch the game on TV. But being there has to be a really awesome experience that I want to try sometime. I've never been to a real football match! BTW... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My dad was one of those people who'd smoke two packs a day for months, then he'd quit for a couple of months, and then pick up smoking again. This went on for years. For some reason, he has no problems quitting smoking. It's almost like he wasn't addicted to it in the first place. His secret according to him, is simply "willpower". You just need to force yourself to give up. Oh well, don't let Dr. Wimmer ruin your day. ![]() | |

When you have some spare time you should try those roads with your BMW, just to try them out. I've been to a few football matches but none of them were like that! The biggest had about 25000 specators but no torches or any life like that. I have to go to a WC final ![]() ![]() |
